Rising amongst them are larger tabular crystals with subtle grey-green to olive tones, creating an unusual contrast against the softer creamy-white Calcite.

Scattered across the crystal surfaces are tiny flashes of Pyrite, appearing like a fine metallic dusting amongst the Calcite. These little golden points catch the light as the specimen is turned, adding another layer of detail without taking away from its beautifully architectural formation.

Inner Mongolia is an important and highly regarded mineral-producing region of China, known for producing complex Calcite specimens and unusual mineral associations. The combination of layered rosette formations, subtle green tones and scattered Pyrite makes this a particularly interesting piece for collectors who appreciate specimens with both strong aesthetics and intricate mineralogical detail.

There is something almost otherworldly about this one — soft and floral from a distance, yet wonderfully complex and crystalline up close.

Provenance: Inner Mongolia, China
Minerals: Calcite with Pyrite

8.5cm x 6.5cm.

Please note: As this is a natural mineral specimen, variations in colour, crystal formations, inclusions, contact points, natural fractures and markings are part of its unique character.
