Glassy Apophyllite with Sugar Pink Calcite 3

An Apophyllite and Pink Calcite specimen from Maharashtra, India, featuring clear, glassy crystals growing across a soft white crystalline base with delicate touches of blush pink.

The Apophyllite forms a cluster of well-defined, translucent crystals, with larger points rising above smaller intergrown formations. Their smooth, reflective faces reveal fine internal veils and subtle growth patterns, allowing light to pass through the crystals.

Surrounding the Apophyllite are milky-white mineral formations and fine, sugar-like Pink Calcite druzy. Tiny patches of pale pink and dusty rose are scattered across the surface, adding gentle hints of colour amongst the icy white crystals.

The contrast between the larger, glassy Apophyllite crystals and the finer sparkling druzy creates an interesting mixture of textures, with small crystalline pockets and natural details throughout.
