This beautiful Calcite specimen from Fujian, China is covered in an intricate mass of delicate, bladed crystals, creating an almost lace-like appearance. The crystals overlap and interlock in layers, ranging from translucent to milky white, with countless fine edges catching the light.
Its unusual crystal habit is what makes this piece so special. Rather than the more familiar chunky Calcite formations, these crystals have grown as thin flattened blades and plates, forming little fans, ridges and crystalline pockets across the specimen. From certain angles, the entire cluster has a frosted, almost feathery appearance.
The combination of its pure white colouring, delicate structure and beautiful translucency gives this specimen an incredibly ethereal feel, while the complexity of the crystal growth makes it especially interesting for mineral collectors.
Calcite is traditionally associated with clarity, cleansing and uplifting energy.

Please note: As this is a natural mineral specimen, variations in colour, texture, inclusions, natural fractures and contact points are part of its unique character. Colours may appear slightly lighter or darker in person and can vary depending on lighting conditions and screen settings.
