Mauve & Amber Stepped Fluorite – Minggang Mine, Henan, China

14cm by 10cm.

A beautifully layered Minggang fluorite covered in dense, stepped cubic growth, with the prettiest mix of dusty mauve, lavender and warm amber tones.

The entire surface is packed with overlapping fluorite crystals, creating an intricate terraced texture that almost looks sugar-coated from a distance. Look closer and you can see subtle colour zoning running through the piece, with warmer honey-brown tones glowing beneath the softer purple outer growth.

Tiny sparkling crystals across parts of the surface add even more texture, while the countless stepped faces give this specimen so much depth from every angle. A wonderfully unusual piece with a soft, earthy palette and incredibly detailed crystal architecture.
