Pink Heulandite & Apophyllite 12
Striking, luminous and beautifully sculptural, this specimen features an impressive pale green Apophyllite crystal rising dramatically from a delicate base of naturally pink Heulandite.
The centrepiece is the exceptionally large Apophyllite crystal, displaying dreamy shades of icy mint green with areas of soft colourless translucency. Broad, glassy crystal faces reveal beautiful internal layers and fine natural striations, while subtle variations of green seem to shift as the specimen moves through the light.
Beneath the Apophyllite sits a contrasting layer of peachy-pink Heulandite, forming delicate bladed crystals across the matrix. The combination of cool mint green and warm blush pink creates an especially beautiful natural colour palette, while the sheer size of the Apophyllite in proportion to its matrix gives this piece a wonderfully dramatic display presence.
This beautiful mineral association comes from India’s Deccan basalt formations, an area renowned amongst collectors for producing exceptional zeolite specimens and striking combinations of Apophyllite and Heulandite.
