Pink Heulandite & Apophyllite 6
Dreamy, sculptural and beautifully sparkling, this specimen features striking clear Apophyllite crystals rising from a dense bed of naturally pink Heulandite.
The Heulandite forms hundreds of delicate peachy-pink crystals across the matrix, creating an almost floral landscape of overlapping blades with a soft pearly lustre. Subtle variations from blush pink to deeper dusty rose give the specimen beautiful depth and texture.
Rising prominently from the centre is a large, beautifully formed Apophyllite crystal with glassy faces and wonderful clarity. Its geometric form creates a striking contrast against the softer, densely clustered Heulandite beneath, while several smaller clear Apophyllite crystals are scattered throughout the piece like little hidden treasures.
This beautiful mineral association is characteristic of India’s Deccan basalt formations, an area renowned amongst mineral collectors for its exceptional zeolite specimens and beautiful combinations of Apophyllite and Heulandite.
