Pink Heulandite & Apophyllite 7

Soft, colourful and beautifully sculptural, this specimen features a striking pale green Apophyllite crystal perched amongst a dense bed of naturally pink Heulandite.

The Heulandite forms hundreds of delicate peachy-pink bladed crystals across the matrix, creating a wonderfully textured surface with a soft pearly lustre. Its warm blush tones make the perfect contrast against the cool, icy green of the Apophyllite above.

The centrepiece is a large, beautifully formed Apophyllite crystal displaying dreamy shades of pale mint green with areas of colourless translucency. Its broad glassy faces catch the light beautifully, revealing subtle internal textures and layers, while a second clear crystal emerges from the lower edge of the specimen.

The combination of pastel pink Heulandite and mint-green Apophyllite makes this an especially beautiful example of the colourful zeolite mineral associations for which India’s Deccan basalt formations are renowned.
