Flower Barite on Cerussite and Galena - Morocco

From the renowned Mibladen mining district of Morocco is this dreamy bi-colour Barite on Galena specimen, covered in layers of delicate crystal rosettes in the softest blush peach and pale pink. The barite blades overlap and fan out like tiny petals, while glimpses of dark metallic galena peek through underneath, creating such a beautiful contrast against the pastel crystals.

What makes this piece especially captivating is the way the barite has grown. One large, beautifully defined rosette immediately draws the eye, with layer upon layer of fine crystal blades radiating outward into an almost flower-like formation. Look closer and there are smaller rosettes tucked throughout the specimen, each with its own intricate pattern.

There is something almost otherworldly about the combination of soft peach crystals and silvery-dark galena. From a distance it has incredible presence, but up close is where this piece really comes alive, with endless little layers, textures and formations to discover.
