Fujian Sugar Fluorite with Muscovite
8cm by 6cm.
A dreamy Sugar Fluorite from the Xia Yang Mine, with soft seafoam-green Fluorite completely covered in an incredibly fine layer of sparkling microcrystals.
The Fluorite forms beautiful rounded clusters across the specimen, shifting from pale silvery green to deeper mossy tones within the natural pockets and valleys. Thousands of tiny crystal faces coat the surface, creating its distinctive sugar-like texture and an incredible frosted sparkle when it catches the light.
I love how soft and almost ethereal this piece looks from a distance, while up close it reveals layer upon layer of delicate crystalline detail. A beautiful and unusual Fluorite habit from one of Fujian's recognised mineral localities.
Fluorite is traditionally associated with clarity, focus and balance.
Mine: Xia Yang Mine
Locality: Yongchun County, Quanzhou, Fujian Province, China
Please note: As this is a natural mineral specimen, variations in colour, crystal formation, inclusions, natural fractures and contact points are part of its unique character. The fine crystalline surface is delicate and should be handled with care. Colours may appear slightly different depending on lighting conditions and screen settings.
