Grey Calcite with Graphite Cluster - China
8cm across
An unusual mineral specimen featuring clusters of translucent grey-blue crystals growing across a rugged, silvery-grey matrix.
The Calcite-like crystals display soft smoky grey and icy blue tones, with a mixture of larger, well-defined formations and smaller crystals scattered throughout. Their glassy surfaces contrast with the rough, earthy matrix, creating an interesting combination of textures.
The matrix contains dark, silvery-grey material believed to be Graphite, which has a subtle metallic sheen and a soft, powdery texture. The overlapping crystals, natural cavities and patches of brownish matrix give the specimen a raw, sculptural appearance.
Calcite is traditionally associated with clarity, balance and positive energy, while Graphite is often linked with grounding and stability.
Please note: The mineral identification is tentative. The silvery-grey material is soft and may naturally shed fine powder or leave grey marks when handled. We recommend minimal handling and washing hands afterwards. As this is a natural mineral specimen, variations in colour, crystal formation, inclusions, fractures and contact points are part of its character. Colours may appear slightly different depending on lighting conditions and screen settings.
