Pink Heulandite & Apophyllite 5

Soft, sparkling and beautifully delicate, this specimen features clear Apophyllite crystals resting amongst a dreamy bed of naturally pink Heulandite.

The Heulandite forms hundreds of closely packed peachy-pink crystals across the matrix, creating a wonderfully textured surface with soft flashes of pearly lustre. Its warm blush colour makes a beautiful contrast against the colourless Apophyllite growing above.

At the centre sits a prominent cluster of clear to icy-white Apophyllite, with beautifully defined crystal faces that catch the light with a glassy, almost mirror-like sparkle. A second Apophyllite crystal emerges along the edge of the specimen, adding another little point of interest to its sculptural formation.

This beautiful mineral combination is characteristic of specimens from India’s Deccan basalt formations, an area famous amongst collectors for producing exceptional zeolite minerals including Heulandite and Apophyllite.
