Purple Zoned Fluorite with Calcite – Shangbao Mine, Hunan, China
5cm by 3.5cm. Comes with display base as pictured.
A gorgeous little Shangbao fluorite with soft icy lilac tones, beautifully stepped crystal faces and deeper violet zoning visible within the paler outer crystal.
One of the prettiest details is the sugary druse scattered across parts of the specimen — a coating of tiny sparkling crystals that catches the light and gives the surface an almost frosted, glittery finish. It contrasts beautifully with the larger geometric fluorite faces and the clear to creamy calcite crystals cascading across the top.
There is so much texture packed into this piece, from the pixel-like stepped growth to the internal zoning and delicate drusy sparkle. Every angle feels completely different.
